 ABC Family's TV adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You returned for its second season last night, which seems like a good occasion to note how this show has blossomed since it premiered last summer. For a while, it was struggling against the beloved Julia Stiles-Heath Ledger teen movie on which it was based, but now it's really come into its own. (The overprotective dad bit is still great, but we've blessedly lost the whole Taming of the Shrew aspect of things and settled in for a sweet comedy about the budding relationship between two very different sisters.) When last we saw Kat and Patrick on ABC Family’s hit comedy series 10 Things I Hate About You, Kat—played by Lindsay Shaw—was protesting the imposition of mandatory uniforms at their high school. And Patrick—played by Ethan Peck—was, well, brooding.

 ABC Family's original comedy series "10 Things I Hate About You" will return with ten all-new half-hour episodes beginning Monday, March 29 (8:00PM-8:30PM ET/PT). The critically acclaimed series, recently named by New York Times as one of the "Top 10 Television Shows of 2009," bowed this summer as the network's highest rated comedy in its history. The series is executive-produced by Carter Covington and Robin Schiff, and stars Larry Miller, Lindsey Shaw, Meaghan Martin, Ethan Peck, Nicholas Braun and Dana Davis.
