For fans of ABC Family's canceled series 10 Things I Hate About You, the Monday blahs are worse than usual. Where once fans had snappy dialogue, romance, and Ethan Peck to look forward to on Monday evenings, now there is just the empty void left by cancellation. I was telling someone it feels kind of like a breakup,' 10 Things creator Carter Covington tells EW.com. 'Like you got dumped by this person and you're like, 'Wait a second. But we had such a great thing going on. Why would you dump me?' Before you start writing angry letters to ABC Family, know that Covington doesn't blame the network. 'I know they loved the show, he says, adding, 'I think they were in a difficult, difficult position to try to figure out how to market and bring back one half-hour comedy by itself.'
For those frustrated by the series finale's many cliffhangers, Covington sends his apologies: 'It's really hard for me because there's nothing I would wish more than to have been able to have a series finale that really provided some closure for everybody.' Even though that was impossible -- production wrapped before the cancellation axe came down - Covington is satisfied with how things ended. 'In the life of the series, to me, Kat and Patrick were always going to run off into the sunset together,' he says. 'In a way, I'm happy that the series ended where it did because at least they were together.' To Read More Click Here.

10 Things I Hate About You wrapped up its under-appreciated one-season run on ABC Family last night, and, quite frankly, I don't know what went wrong here. The dialogue snapped, the plotlines crackled, and the characters popped - not easy to do in the tired high-school genre. It had the name recognition of the beloved Julia Stiles/Heath Ledger movie but didn't get bogged down in its legacy. The cast - Lindsey Shaw, Meaghan Jette Martin, Ethan Peck, dad Larry Miller - couldn't have been better. I know, I know, these things happen to good shows all the time. I just want my eulogy to be complete. To Read More Click Here.

ABC Family's TV adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You returned for its second season last night, which seems like a good occasion to note how this show has blossomed since it premiered last summer. For a while, it was struggling against the beloved Julia Stiles-Heath Ledger teen movie on which it was based, but now it's really come into its own. (The overprotective dad bit is still great, but we've blessedly lost the whole Taming of the Shrew aspect of things and settled in for a sweet comedy about the budding relationship between two very different sisters.) And so, based on this fresh new season's premiere, 10 things to love about 10 Things I Hate About You: To Read More Click Here.
